Ron moved to New York after graduating from the Professional Actor Training Program at Ohio University. He soon got his Equity card when Fran and Barry Weissler cast him as “Biff” in a tour of DEATH OF A SALESMAN. This spared him from several survival jobs such as restoring intricate woodwork in an upper Westside brownstone and piecework making leather bags in his East village sublet ... not a trendy place at that time. More importantly, it led to acting work Off Broadway, regionally, and in commercials.
Ron Kuhlman makes his home in Los Angeles with his wife and college sweetheart, Marsha Warner (also an actor), where they raised two phenomenal daughters.

In the span of his career, Ron was shot and killed by both Brad Pitt (KALIFORNIA) and James Caan (FLESH AND BONE), shared a drink at a bar with Tom Hanks (SPLASH), and had the late, great Florence Henderson for a mother-in- law (THE BRADY BRIDES). Even though Ron has played his share of serious “bad boys” on stage and screen, his adeptness at physical comedy has been compared to Dick Van Dyke.
